Weekly Commentz(:
This week;
Something that made me happy; GOOD FRIGGIN MOVIES.
We watched Stay and Memento, both of which were screened to
help us develop ideas for our narritive story.
Something that frustrated me this week; Motion being gay and not
letting me do exactly what I wanted on my Kinetic Type project.
It came out a lot different than i had originally planned it to,
but at the same time very good(:
Something I learned; There's a lot more possible with Motion than
I know, And I've learned quite a bit about it.
This week, I went more in-depth with behaviors, even some filters.
It's a lot of fun, and I'm glad i finished my KT project!
Something I want to learn; I want to learn how to better place my text
in Motion on projects like the kinetic type one. When I look at the
Fight Club one we previewed in class (my favorite as well) I like how
after the words are said, they are still on the screen.
And The screen will shom them in the same place later in the "project".
I'd like to be able to learn how to do something like that.
I think it'd help my projects flow much better if I could do it better than I do currently.

This Week.
So this week, I've learned a lot more about Motion, and how to properly navigate through it.
I must say it's hard to get used to, but it actually seems very simple now.
I want to learn, in the future, how to get the most out of Motion when I create my KineticTypography project. I'm really excited for that ^.^
Something that frustrated me; When I had to start a tutorial all over because I didn't save it properly.
Something that made me happy; When I finished that tutorial that I had to start over.

It's been a while.
I haen't been blogging too much recently/:
But I'm gonna change that.
I've been catching up for the most part.
Lots and lots of friggin tutorials xP
But I'm looking pretty good.
And I'm extremely excited for kinetic typography!
And can anyone send me a link to some examples of the
Fictional Narratives?
Cuz I'm lost for that project.

gerblahh!
So my band went on the radio on Thursday, 11/11/10.
It was a huge success with a full live set. We were on for an hour :D
We go on the radio station almost every Thursday to help out with
new upcoming local bands of all kinds.
Anyways, I'm talking to Greg, the guy who made all of this possible.
We're gonna get the whole show put up on the website for download.
Anyone who wants to be on the music show,
or would like to first hand experience audio production,
Greg's your guy.

This is a lot of fun, but be serious about it, and I can get you hooked up!(:

A friend of mine was getting jumped, so I laid one of them out.

So I don't know how to make my links active.
I don't know if that one above^^ is active or not.
Didn't wanna put in the html, wasn't sure if it would work.
Anyone help me?
Oh and btw, this guy does his own comedy videos, similar to Tosh.0
and he does all the editing himself, and I wanted to express how well done it truly is.
Pick a video and see for yourself(:

So this week,
I learned how to work FinalCutPro alot better than before.
I want to learn how to track my audio better,
as it wasn't the best in my Seaworld tutorials.
I was happy that I finished my tutorials, but at the same time, frustrated that I handed them in late.
By one day.

Weekly Commentz (:
So this week we learned how to use the cameras and did 33 shots around the school.
It was a great, helpful, and fun project(:
This made me want to learn more in-depth shooting techniques, such as multi-camera filming.
And It would be fun to edit them together.
I was very happy this week because I finally finished my two tutorials.
I was frustrated this week, however, because I've barely even started my Sea World exercise yet.
fubar.

So I agree that Marilyn Manson is one cracked out dude.
And his music is no exception.
Nonetheless, this video is very very freaking weird, but very well done.

Tours.
So all the 10th graders from my school are walking through my class. And I know alotta them haha. Well anyways, I changed my topic for the documentary; I'm going to be doing a documentary of the degradation of music. My grandfather and I were recently talking about how the music he grew up listening to is so different from the music that I listen to. So I figured a documentary about this would be able to help other people understand the barriers and bridges from my grandfather's music to my music.

I'd like to point out that when the computer blocks are on, and you try going to youtube.com, it blocks it and states that Youtube is obscene and tasteless. ROFL.

Every day I watch this and it makes me more and more eager for this album.
And just now, I watched the video and the cuts and transitions, although most are just cuts.
But either way, it could also be perceived as a documentary.

TNT Telecast!
So my school had TNT today.
Needless to say WE WON. BIG.
Like 35-0 Big.
Tonawanda is such a dissappointment. xD
ANYWAYS;
There was a telecast for the whole school today.
And I got to see them set it up.
One of the people helping with it, Phil, is a good friend of mine as well.
He went on and on about a bunch of stuff that I had no idea what it was.
But it was a lot like LCTV. It's cool what they can do with all that stuff. :D

Weekly Commentz(:
So I've always enjoyed working with audio, and this week in Boces, I finally learned the right way to do it in Garageband(: It was a lot of fun after I got the hang of it. I still don't like the fact that the time it uses is measures and not seconds, but I can work around it.
In the future, I'd like to learn how to apply the sounds that I am editing, re-arranging and creating now into an actual video.
I was frustrated this week when I had to figure out how to apply volume fades onto tracks in Garageband. But after I found out, I saw how easy it was, and how accurate it is. It's also extremely effective for building suspense and accents in the Audio.
And finally, I was happy this week that, in general, we started audio. I've been really excited for this for a while. (:

Weekly Comments
Something I liked this week; I really enjoyed our time at NCCC and the experience I gained on the field trip to LCTV. It was a lot of fun.
In the future, I look forward to college at NCCC and also learning how to run Audacity Properly.
I was frustrated when I went ahead and finished my Audo Story, but in the wrong program.
And I'm happy that i perfected my montage even more, and learned how to properly resize images.
I swear my phone says 11:58. My computer has been down all day..
Please let this make my blog grade.

Documentary! :D
So we just found out we're doing a documentary on a topic of our choice.
And Sarina Deacon will be my partner for this.
I'm really looking forward to this because I'll get to have lots of fun doing something that will count as a grade. (:

Weekly Commentz(:
So this week, we've done quite a bit. I learned how to take something usual, and make it unusual, like I did in my Worth1000. I did the Urban Camo: I took a dolphin that was jumping out of water, blended him, and made it appear as if he was jumping out of a cloud. (:
In the future, I'm looking forward to the blind storyline. It's gonna take a lot of work to get a script, but I really wanna learn how to use Audacity better to help me with this.
I was frustrated today when a lot of my settings were changed around on my computer, and it took me almost a half an hour to blend something that would have normally taken a few minutes.
I was really happy when I finished my montage today. (: I did one similar to it last year, but this one is a lot better. Last year I did it a month into Photoshop. This year: about 3 weeks. And it's CS5 so a whole new program altogether. But like I said: this is a lot better.

Picture Animation
So this could mostly be called an Animation blog, but I could do it in our class.
I've been looking at cameras all week to do stuff like this.
This is a little less difficult than the other video i posted earlier this week.

This looks like it was fun to make(:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g1tRU1fsU_Y
This made my day. They took a commercial for the movie Resident Evil: Afterlife 3D and redid it in a literal trailer. They composed new music for it, wrote lyrics for it, and re-edited the entire thing. Watch!

Masks.
So over the past few days, we've done a quite interesting exercise using masks. We selected a picture of a woman looking out four windows, and used some very tricky selecting methods to crop out the view through the windows. On top of that, we had to take another picture and put it where the old one once was. We created an image where the woman is now looking at a different background! (happy face!) It was really fun. Then we played with the layers and text and it was done.
There's the finished image. (:

Retouching is fun. (:
Today we did retouching. We took an old black and white picture of two children, and retouched it. But there were some tricks...
We had to use all various tools, no matter which one was the easiest. I caught on pretty quickly. There were also what appeared to be creases, cracks, and rips in the photo. They were extremely easy after I got the hang of it. I'm putting the pictures of the old and retouched one on facebook soon. (:

help?
So this year in Video Production, I'm aiming to create some kind of music video for my band. Not only would this be great for my band, but also it would be a HUGE jump forward for my video production/editing skills.
Not only would I be interested in hearing from all of you about your ideas, but I'd also be interested in someone doing some album art? EP is releasing this December hopefully. And now that we're in PhotoShop, it wouldn't be a bad idea to get some ideas from a creative mind that's not my own, haha.
Ask me about it in class? But this is for fun. DO NOT use class time where you could be working on your demos or tutorials for this. Thank you.

Adobe Creative Suite; CS5
So everybody knows that we're using the CS5 series of Adobe Photoshop.
I used CS4 last year, and thought it was a very smoothly running program.
However, I thought I should look into the details of the improvements.
The first thing I noticed was that the CS5 series is running on 64 bits. This is a huge, huge improvement from the 32 that the CS4 series ran on. This allows for a better security system, with less corruption/loss of files.
On top of that, Photoshop CS5 Extended, which we have, contains 18 brand new features that CS4 lacked, as well as 14 features that have been improved since the last series.
To see some of that information, go here.
http://prodesigntools.com/version-comparison-differences-between-cs5-vs-cs4-vs-cs3.html
But to see how lucky we are to use such amazing and innovative equipment, go here!
