Syfy, you suck.

I was watching SyFy movies periodically over the weekend due to the lack of anything on TV.
I was beyond extremely disappointed.

Not just the visual effects of these movies were terrible,
but so were the plots, the acting, the EVERYTHING.

Some of these "amazing" films I had the opportunity to watch were:

Sharktopus
A creature that is half shark and half octopus kills people.
Thats right:  It's a shark that walks on land on it's tentacles.

Mega Shark vs. Giant Octopus
Millions of years ago, a giant shark and a giant octopus, both bigger than buildings,
were frozen in combat,  and an earthquake breaks the ice, and they fight again.

Malibu Shark Attack
An earthquake releases several gigantic prehistoric sharks into the ocean,
where they kill everyone and every shark they see.

(I don't know what is with the obsession of sharks.)

Ohh, here was a thriller.

Mega Python vs. Gatoroid
A giant snake and a giant alligator were fossilized in battle,
when finally they break free, and fight again.
And for some reason, they decided to put two
random pop star divas in there, and they bicker throughout the movie.

You get the idea.

3 movies dealing with sharks.
2 of them dealing with giant animals fighting and killing people.
The best part was always the ending.

So overall, what's the moral of the story?

SyFy sucks.  Alot.

Weekly Commentz(:

What I liked about this week:  It was a four day week!
And I also did a bloopers reel for my narattive.

What I disliked:  It's been really hard for me to do my storyboard
for my PSA.  Still not done. xP

What I learned:  Short Films on Youtube.
I watched quite a few films from the Sundance Film Festival.
One I took a particular liking to is "The High Level Bridge."

What I want to Learn:  How to do somethings I saw in other short films.
Like this one.

Amazing.

So if nobody has ever seen the movie "The Box", a couple is offered 1 million dollars to push a button, which kills someone in the world.

That movie came out in early 2009.

This is a short film from 2007 where I think they might've taken the concept from.

This is a very well done short film.

Watch it here!

Ahhhh, so It's Tuesday.

Tuesday.
And after a 3 day weekend, it's an equally crappy replacement for Monday. :D

Just created a youtube channel for my work.
And Uploaded my narrative on it.

Wordd.(:

Weekly Comments(:

This week was quite a long and eventful week.
Nonetheless, a very nice one as well. :D

What I learned this week:  Sometimes, the best things that happen are the things you least plan on.  Like my narrative: I had an idea, and on 10 minutes notice, Mike shot it with me.  No script.  No setup.
Win.

What I want to learn: How Kevin did the flashy things in his Kinetic Type.  It was really cool.

Something that made me happy:  Shooting my narrative!  It was so much fun.  It's gonna be pretty damn funny.

Something that frustrated me:  I MUST START GIVING MYSELF MORE TIME TO RENDER.
ARGGG.

Motion > Final Cut Pro.

Frankly my dear, I don't give a Damn.

This is the first movie that ever used a swear word;

Gone with The Wing (1939)

Right at the end, about 10 seconds from it.

Bahaha Fail.

So due to my terrible weekend and not being able to shoot footage, WHICH IM GONNA DO TONIGHT, WOOHOO, I've decided to take my own initiative and explore the world of Particle Emitters.
It was totally worth it.
Watch Facebook for the video later.

:)

Happy Monday!

It's monday.
Fml.
I have to do soooo much of my narrative it's not even funny.
After a terrible weekend at home caused me to do next to NO shooting.

I'm pretty sure I've got my work cut out for me.

Weekly Comments :D

One thing I liked- Choking on corn.
One thing I disliked-  Sarina Deacon nagging about her hair.
One thing I learned-  Girls are obsessed with their hair.
*cough cough Sarina Deacon cough cough*
And One thing I wanna learn-  How to storyboard better!

Now really, here's the right ones.

What made me happy:  I liked the one day of tenth grade shadowing.  It was very fun working one on one with a student.
What frustrated me:  Being absent for the first two days of the week, missing a screening.  :[
What I learned:  I learned a few more tricks in photoshop while randomly bopping around.
What I want to learn:  How to use particle emitters in motion! (:

Oh snap.

The post I made yesterday about the Acacia Strain made me remember the movie.
So I watched it last night.
Wth.  I could have edited that better.
There were uneven levels and a few clipped frames.  It was bad.

The Hills Have Eyes.

Well first of all, the above title is a movie.
There's a second one too.
They both suck unless you have a girlfriend that gets scared easily.

I was more pertaining to the song "The Hills Have Eyes"
written by The Acacia Strain.

They're quite possibly one of the heaviest bands I've ever heard,
And their music videos are very creative.
