My final blog post... :[

1. In general, what did you like most about this class?
-In this class, I mostly enjoyed critiquing the projects.  It was a fun and helpful experience to see what others in the class have made, as well as going over it in depth and breaking it down piece by piece.  Everyone had something to say, and the comments made during the critiques were very funny, and added a huge sense of enjoyment.  Oh, did I mention bagels?
2. What was your favorite project and why?
-My favorite project was the independent study project.  I did enjoy most of the projects that we did, but the independent film gave me a shot at doing a music video- something I had wanted to do since this class started.
3. In general, what did you like least about this class?
-The thing I liked the least about this class was the amount of prep-work.  I'm not saying this to excuse myself from never doing storyboards or scripts, I just didn't like to do them.  Work was not the issue- I've noticed over the year that most things I do are better when they just come naturally as I'm shooting.  If you storyboard something, it defines a more rigorous line for the plot, which I think puts limits on creativity.

4. What was your least favorite project and why?
-My least favorite project was the water PSA.  I just think it was a dead project- I didn't see much point in doing it, to be honest.  Mine was god awful, I don't know where I could've shot the kinds of footage I needed, and I totally destroyed it upon editing.

5. What are your future plans upon graduation?
-I'm planning on taking off for a semester or two, and powering down at work.  I'm going to be going in to NCCC in Winter or Spring.  I'll stay there for two years, and then I plan on going to finish a Bachelor's Degree at Buffalo State College.

6. Do you feel that this class will help you achieve your future academic or career goals? Please give specific examples.
-I believe it will help my future.  It's made me quite a bit more independent on finishing things myself.  I also believe I've even become more organized.  Another thing that I'll have to do for the rest of my life is in this class- MEETING DEADLINES.  God, we've had a ton of practice with that.

7. What advice would you give to incoming students?
-This class will be SO MUCH FUN! But with that comes a lot of work and responsibility.  This is a class for serious students, and you better be ready to work.  With work comes reward, and you'll be able to step in the door and feel the reward on Day 1.

8. Additional comments:
-I'm really gonna miss coming out here.  I'm gonna come in and hangout with whoever is here after my exams.  I've made a TONNNNNNN of friends over the course of the year, and done some things I never thought I'd do- took 2nd place at Regionals with Serena, Went to states, made tons of friends from all over New York, and ate twice my weight in Bagels.  It's been such a fun class Ms. Licata- you're an awesome and inspiring teacher. :]

Old band. LOL.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=scNKOcFh0ik

Captured Performance.

So when you watch the movie Avatar, you'll think it was animated with voice-overs.
Not true.

The making of Avatar.

Look at 3:20 and they'll show how you it was the actual actors and actresses, then put into the form you see in the movie.

Life has officially caught up with me.

My senior prom is tomorrow.

Four whole years... where did they go?

Weekly Comments.

Something I liked about this week;  My band set up our next show; we're playing The Red October's CD release show. :]

Something I disliked; COMMUNITY. SERVICE. SUCKS.

Something I learned; There's a crazy old man in NT who calls himself "Chicago" and thinks he's a celebrity.  And I have to deal with him every day at the Salvation Army while doing my hours this week. xP

Something I wanna learn;  I'm actually pretty content with my knowledge right now.  If I could learn one more thing, I'd wanna learn how to do the cameras in Motion.

By far the greatest music video I've ever seen.

Ok, Go. Rube Goldberg.

There's no words.

poem

Mitch Cochran, Poems for Poetry Project

A Special World by Sheelagh Lennon

A special world for you and me
A special bond one cannot see
It wraps us up in its cocoon
And holds us fiercely in its womb.

Its fingers spread like fine spun gold
Gently nestling us to the fold
Like silken thread it holds us fast
Bonds like this are meant to last.

And though at times a thread may break
A new one forms in its wake
To bind us closer and keep us strong
In a special world, where we belong.

- Courtney Kuchta -
If I could have just one wish,
I would wish to wake up everyday
to the sound of your breath on my neck,
the warmth of your lips on my cheek,
the touch of your fingers on my skin,
and the feel of your heart beating with mine...
Knowing that I could never find that feeling
with anyone other than you.

-      Jessica Blade –
I love you, my baby.
In every single way.
I wrote your name in the sky,
but the wind blew it away.
I wrote your name in the sand,
but the waves washed it away.
I wrote your name in my heart,
and forever it will stay.

Shadowingg.

Some kid missed the bus, so we had to turn around and get him.
I was complaining to Kevin about it when I got here.

I turned around and he was right behind me.

So I think I've got my project topic.

The Reason.

Through the eyes of a teenager, life.
And he's giving up.
But before he does, he tries one last thing.
He gives everything a reason why he should or shouldn't give up.

It doesn't work.  He then tries to turn these reasons into hate,
but that fails.  He knows what he did.  And he wants to take it back.

Gheyy.  I know.  But I think I can turn this out well.

Ahhhh. Classic.

You've seen this video.

So what.

BBallersss.

OHyeah.

This is just mad cool.

Greatest Scene Ever.

With Bill Murray, nonetheless.
Winning.

Bad raps, and Terrible Camerawork.

This was like the funniest video I've ever seen.
It's terrible in everyway.
Believe me, I actually noticed the bad camera work first.
This is the straightforward video as they did.
Look at video transitions, timing of the hosts talking,
and the heart that appears over Eli when he's finally done.
It's just bad.
So is the audio.

(CONTAINS LANGUAGE)
Terrible people rapping.

Gangster Mario Brothers && Weeklies.

Lolol.

Something that made me happy:  My school lost power Tuesday, so I went home and napped until 4.  And we watched Children of Men this week, which is like one of my favorite movies.

Something that frustrated me:  My teachers pounded me with homework this week.  And with no school Tuesday, and I went home yesterday, I have like no time to get help. /:

Something I learned:  School.  Is. Ghey.  Except for Boces.  I love this here(:  and I learned the final details for the state competitions for Skills.  <3

Something I wanna learn:  I've been digging the band Veil of Maya lately.
I would love to learn the song It's Not Safe to Swim Today.
Click it for the music video.  That's awesome too. <3

Crackle.

I found this channel on youtube,
where they have a huge selection
of full length movies uploaded to watch.

Most suck.
But theres like 8 commercials per movie, and it's awesome.

For Holly and Sarina.

My dude from the "Epic Rap Battles of History"
covering "Friday".

Yeah, Rebecca black.  Get some.

Another very talented group.

This guy's name is NicePeter on youtube.
Now, some of the stuff does have innapropriate references,
as well as language.
Look past it, this guy does it all.
He writes and creates music, and does killer editing, greenscreen effects,
transitions, voice-overs, whole nine yards.
Look for his best work in Epic Rap Battles of History.

Justin Bieber vs. Beethoven
(my personal favorite, but I caution it has bad language and references.)

Greatest movie ever. Must watch.

What do you get when you take an amazing, 3 hour long movie,
condense it into 30 seconds, and replace the characters with cure bunnies?
You get this.
